Detail

The story

Barn in the woods

Netherlands

Early in spring, before the trees have their leaves back, this barn lies hidden among the bare branches. From the path you cannot see it. From above, the treetops form a soft, almost embroidered pattern in pink, brown and green, with the roof as the only straight line.

A quiet work that you only truly discover as you come closer: first you see a forest, then the roof, and then the small details around it. The spring light gives the bare trees a warm glow.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between aluminium and wood?

The black aluminium frame is sleek and slim (27 mm). The wooden floating frame goes around the frame: the work seems to float within it. The frame extends 3 cm around the work on all sides (70 × 100 cm becomes 76 × 106 cm).

How do I hang it?

The back of the frame is open. You simply hang the work on a nail, screw or hanging system.
