Emerald hole
De Slufter, TexelDe Slufter on Texel is openly connected to the North Sea. After a few failed attempts to turn it into a polder, it was decided in the early twentieth century to leave the inlet open. In the dunes lie hollows with striking emerald-green colours. What they are for is a mystery to me, but from above it is a beautiful sight.
