The rustic cabin

Vinkeveen Lakes, Netherlands

Two narrow islets in the Vinkeveen Lakes, one of them home to a rustic cabin. The lakes were formed by centuries of peat cutting; the strips left behind are now overgrown islets with the odd summer house here and there.

From above, the two strips run diagonally through the image like brushstrokes. The dark water around them makes the autumn colours and the orange roof stand out all the more.

What is the difference between aluminium and wood?

The black aluminium frame is sleek and slim (27 mm). The wooden floating frame goes around the frame: the work seems to float within it. The frame extends 3 cm around the work on all sides (70 × 100 cm becomes 76 × 106 cm).

How do I hang it?

The back of the frame is open. You simply hang the work on a nail, screw or hanging system.

When will it arrive?

We make every work to order. It will be at your home within 5 to 8 working days, free of charge throughout the Netherlands.

Can I have it delivered as a gift?
